Namaste, I am fluent in Hindi and dare I say English. My Hindi is of the northern variety, very casual and some words are slightly different. It’s like a different accent of hindi, but not enough to warrant a whole new language. I know a few other ’accents’ spoken around my region like Harayanvi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, though i won’t say i am fluent in them. I have lived for long durations in Delhi, Allahabad, Chandigarh. And visited some places like Mumbai, and Chennai. Nobody speaks hindi in Chennai besides the students who are there from other parts and even then they use their own languages like Bengali for my friend.
