Encontrar = to find (something or somebody you were looking for) or to meet (somebody) Ex. 1.Encontré lo que estaba buscando. ( I've found what I was looking for) 2.Me encontré con una persona a quien no había visto en años. (I've met with a person whom I haven't seen in years) Estar = to be; to exist in a mood, situation, position or place. It can be used as an auxiliary too; to add a characteristic (adjective) to the person or thing in a sentence. Ex. 1. Estoy en mi casa. (I'm at home.) 2. Soy feliz. (I'm happy.)
